You add a company to your watchlist by pasting a URL. JobBeacon figures out which job board the company uses and starts scanning.

What URLs work

Almost any URL pointing to a company’s careers will do. JobBeacon tries two strategies:
  1. Direct job-board URLs are the fastest path. If you paste one of these, detection is instant:
    • https://job-boards.greenhouse.io/{company} (Greenhouse)
    • https://jobs.ashbyhq.com/{company} (Ashby)
    • https://jobs.lever.co/{company} (Lever)
    • https://{company}.wd{N}.myworkdayjobs.com/... (Workday)
    • https://{company}.eightfold.ai/... or https://apply.careers.{company}.com/... (Eightfold)
    • https://careers.smartrecruiters.com/{company} (SmartRecruiters)
    • https://{company}.bamboohr.com/careers/list (BambooHR)
  2. Company careers pages also work. Paste something like https://vercel.com/careers and JobBeacon will:
    • Scan the page for links to known job boards
    • Probe likely board URLs derived from the company’s domain
See Supported platforms for the full list and limitations.

Adding a company, step by step

1

Click Add company

From the dashboard, click Add company in the top right.
2

Paste the URL

Use the careers page URL or a direct job-board URL.
3

(Optional) Set initial filters

You can add keywords and locations before the first scan. You can always change them later.
4

Watch the scan

JobBeacon streams progress as it pulls every existing job. This usually takes a few seconds; very large boards (1000+ roles) can take up to a minute.
5

Done

You’re redirected to the company page. Existing jobs appear with a ”—” instead of a “First seen” date. New roles after this point will be highlighted and emailed.

When JobBeacon isn’t sure

Sometimes JobBeacon finds more than one possible match for the URL you pasted — for example, a company name that maps to several plausible career boards. When that happens, you’ll see a “Is this the right company?” prompt with a list of candidates. For each candidate you can:
  • Click View career site to open the board in a new tab and verify it’s the right one.
  • Click Yes, track this to confirm — JobBeacon then runs the initial scan against that board.
  • Click None of these if nothing in the list is right. JobBeacon won’t add anything.
Candidates with no open roles are labeled so you can spot them quickly. Picking one is fine — JobBeacon will keep watching and notify you when roles appear.

If nothing matches

If the prompt shows no usable options, or if JobBeacon can’t suggest anything at all:
  • Look at the page yourself. Many companies link to their actual job board from the careers page (often labeled “View open roles” or similar). Click that link and paste the URL it goes to.
  • The company name might not match the slug. A company called “Acme Co.” might be acmeco, acme-co, or acme on their job board. The direct-URL path always wins.
If you’ve tried the direct URL and still see no candidates, email support with the URL and we’ll take a look.

How many companies can I watch?

The free plan watches a handful of companies; Pro lifts that limit. See Account & billing for current limits.

Removing a company

Open the company page and click Remove. This deletes the company from your watchlist along with all the jobs JobBeacon has tracked for it. The jobs themselves stay live on the company’s career page — JobBeacon just stops watching.
